POT – WOODY – SPICY

The oldest, most traditinal variant: the classic British style rum. They are typically a blend of pot and column, which makes them a lot heavier in flavour. They also tend to have substantially aged  - up to a decade is common, and some go far older.

12 p.m.: „ Splice the mainbrace!“ - This order created a strong connection between rum and old sailors.

Today’s British style rum has less alcohol, but the characteristic dark colour, heavy-bodied, intense, woody, spicy, herbal flavor persists.
